The 50 least deprived stations of the Mexico City metro

First things first: the figure is not money. Mexico publishes no income at neighbourhood scale, so this ranking uses CONAPO's Índice de marginación urbana 2020 by AGEB (IM_2020), exactly as published. It is a DP2 composite built from the 2020 census over eleven deprivation indicators: schooling, access to health services, piped water, drainage, electricity, earth floors, a refrigerator, internet, a mobile phone and overcrowding. A high value means LOW marginación, that is, more comfort. CONAPO measures DP2 distance from the worst theoretical scenario after flipping the sign of each indicator, so a plain descending sort already puts the most affluent areas first and no inversion is applied here (worth saying, because readers who know the index often expect the opposite). Each station takes the population-weighted mean of IM_2020 across rated AGEBs whose centroid lies within 600 m, and the containing AGEB is reported as the area. That covers 163 stations, all 163 rated, including eleven that anchor on AGEBs in the Estado de México (Cuatro Caminos, Río de los Remedios, Impulsora, Olímpica, La Paz and Ciudad Azteca among them). Line 7 owns the top: Polanco leads at 125.58, ahead of Barranca del Muerto (125.45), Auditorio (125.26), San Antonio (124.96) and San Pedro de los Pinos (124.81). The Benito Juárez and Coyoacán axis fills in the rest of the podium with Zapata (125.14), Eugenia (124.95), Coyoacán (124.94) and División del Norte (124.81), and Cuatro Caminos (124.95), out in Naucalpan de Juárez, is the only station in the state to reach that high. Three honest caveats. Across the whole network the index spans only 118.01 to 125.58, a narrow band inside a national scale running roughly 60 to 132, so rank differences of a few hundredths are not meaningful. The index saturates in a city where water and electricity are near-universal, which compresses the differences among the wealthier western areas. And it is not comparable to the euro, dollar or real figures in the sister articles: it measures deprivation, not money.
